Don Ressler is the brain behind the development of several start-ups, which have grown into internationally recognized brands, all under his leadership. His first start-up Fitness Heaven, which was bought by Intermix Media, generated revenue enough to facilitate the establishment of a new business. Ressler partnered with Adam Goldenberg in 2001 and formed Alena Media, which was later sold to News Corp in 2005. Ressler also worked in the company to facilitate proper running and was involved in making key decisions that would affect the performance of the business. Among the most notable investments Don Ressler has made is the establishment of JustFab, which has grown into an international online subscription store.
JustFab and its development
Don Ressler and his co-founder Adam Goldenberg founded JustFab in 2010, and the company would specialize in the sale of shoes, handbags, denim and jewelry. The shopping experience on the platform is personalized and customers can create an account for membership, which costs them $39.95 every month. JustFab has since acquired several businesses to help expand its network. Each member receives a celebrity treatment every month through the customized selection of fashion items that are offered based on one’s preferences.
JustFab also offers members tips and content that helps them understand how to merge fashion. One can also shop complete outfits. The company is available in Germany, Sweden, United Kingdom, France, Netherlands, Denmark and Spain.
Since the company was founded in 2010 by Don Ressler, it has grown in ranks through the acquisition of several other businesses. In 2011, the company borrowed $33 million from Matrix Ventures to facilitate its expansion. This was followed by an additional $76 million loan, which helped the company to enter into the German and Canadian markets in the same year.
Among acquisitions the company made include its merger with FabKids. FabKids offers children fashion and is also open in all other areas where JustFab operates in. In 2013, JustFab also premiered a show that would be aired on Style Network. The show was titled “Kimora” and it covered the activities that took place at JustFab offices daily.
Fabletics is an established fashion ecommerce store that was co-founded by Kate Hudson. The business was acquired by JustFab in 2013 and has been operational under JustFab Inc. Fabletics stocks ladies’ fashion-forward active-wear. All the apparel offered is high-quality and designed for performance and beauty. The prices are also fair, quality notwithstanding.
