Jason Hope Donates $500,000 to SENS Foundation

In 2010, Jason Hope donated $500,000 to SENS Research Foundation. The money helped in improving the organizations works in aging and anti-aging research. The donation was used to set up the Cambridge SENS laboratory. Portion of the money was used to conduct research into glycation end products in human tissues.

Speaking while pledging the donation, the futurist said that organization’s works towards anti-aging motivated him to invest in the company. He notes that the approach used by the organization is completely new and provides renewed hopes in understanding and tackling aging-related research. The organization is working towards finding cure for various diseases associated with aging such as lung diseases, heart diseases and Alzheimer’s. This approach is completely different from traditional medicine. Instead of waiting to treat the disease when they have happened, SENS seeks to cure them and prevent them from occurring.

This year, SENS Research Foundation would be hosting Rejuvenation Biotechnology Conference in Santa Clara. The event, scheduled for August 21 to 23 will be hosted at the Santa Clara Hyatt Regency Hotel. The organization has also decided to extend the registration to the event by more days to allow more professionals and enthusiasts to participate.
